Genesis 28
Jacob, just like his father, is instructed to marry his cousin in order that the family line would stay blessed
Jacob is said to be around 77 years old
Genesis 28:1-2 (KJV), “1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. 2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughers of Laban thy mother’s brother.”
Genesis 24:47 (KJV), “And I (Isaac) asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.”
Esau, being deceived by Rebekah and Jacob, purposely took a wife from the daughters of Canaan
Genesis 28:8-9 (KJV), “8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father; 9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.”
Jacob’s ladder
Genesis 28:12 (KJV), “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”
Isaac’s blessing to Jacob then reiterated by God to him in a dream

Genesis 28:3-4 (KJV), “3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; 4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.”
From God
Genesis 28:13-14 (KJV), “13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”
The word ‘tithe’ does not specifically refer to money but a tenth of your possessions (all of our possessions are Gods)
Genesis 28:22 (KJV), “And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.”

Isaiah 19
God’s representation of the Clouds
Isaiah envisions God riding on a cloud
Isaiah 19:1 (KJV), “The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.”
The cloud represents the Holy Spirit’s guidance and glorious presence in your life. He surrounds you and reveals the glory of God. He rests on His new tabernacle, you. The cloud can be symbolic of the Holy Spirit
Moses visits God in the clouds
Exodus 24:15-18 (KJV), “15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. 16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.”
God guided the Jews through the wilderness
Exodus 13:21 (KJV), “And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.”
This same cloud also filled the temple where the priests were ministering
2 Chronicles 5:13-14 (KJV), “13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; 14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.”
God’s voice from the clouds
Matthew 17:5-6 (KJV), “5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.”
Jesus is called to His heavenly home
Acts 1:9 (KJV), “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.”
Jesus returns from His heavenly home
Mark 13:26 (KJV), “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.”
As stated in verse 1, “and shall come into Egypt”, this is a prophecy given to Isaiah of the impending destruction of Egypt
Isaiah 19:12 (KJV), “Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.”
As God had allowed Satan to come against Job, He permits Satanic spirits to infiltrate Egypt’s wise men
Isaiah 19:13-14 (KJV), “13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. 14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.”
Egypt now understands the power and might of our Might God
Isaiah 19:18 (KJV), “In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the Lord of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.”
The Egyptians will cry out their repentance to God and God, in return, send them their Savior
Isaiah 19:20 (KJV), “And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.”
Then there will peace among Egypt, Assyria, and Israel
Isaiah 19:24-25 (KJV), “24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: 25 Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.”
Psalms 15
The character of those who will dwell in the house of the Lord as defined by David

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

Proverbs 12:1 (KJV), “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.”

Observation of the word ‘man’
The word ‘man’ is used frequently in the scriptures but it is very important to understand what this word actually meant in its original context
There are many words used in the English bible that can have multiple meanings in their original language
In this particular case, the word ‘man’ directly refers to a man or husband
Proverbs 12:8 (KJV), “A man 376 shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.”
Lexicon (376) – ish: Man, husband, person, individual.
In this particular case, the word ‘man’ directly refers to mankind, encompassing both men and women
Genesis 1:27 (KJV), “So God created man 120 in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Lexicon (120) – adam: Man, mankind, human, Adam. Brown-Driver-Briggs – 2. collective man, mankind.
The scriptures often speak of the tongue as a vile part of our body which can lead to destruction. The wisdom of Solomon also teaches this
Proverbs 12:17-19 (KJV), “17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. 18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. 19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.”
Proverbs 12:22 (KJV), “Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.”
