THE THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Matthew 19
God made only two sexes, world!
“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female.”
Matthew 19:4 (KJV)
Daniel 12 Prophecy of the End Time
After Gabriel had told Daniel about the impending end time troubles, he is told to close and seal the book
Daniel 12:4 (KJV), “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
Why was John told NOT to seal the book?
Revelation 22:10 (KJV), “And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.”
For Daniel, innumerable events needed to transpire before his prophecy would be fully meaningful. For John’s Revelation, no events needed to occur because the time was near. He had seen or heard everything relevant which would take place in the end time. Even if specific details were unclear, or yet to be fully realized, the message was ready for mankind to hear and understand.
What does for a time and times and half a time mean?
Daniel 12:7 (KJV), “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.”
Revelation 12:6 (KJV), “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.”
Historicist interpreters have usually understood the “time, times and half a time” (i.e. 1+2+0.5=3.5), “1,260 days” mentioned in Daniel and Revelation to be references to represent a period of 1260 years (based on the 360 day Jewish year multiplied by 3.5).
Jeremiah 34
The law of releasing the slaves/servants after 7 years
Jeremiah 34:14 (KJV), “At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.”
Deuteronomy 15:12 (KJV), “And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.”
The Jews then disobeyed God
Jeremiah 34:11 (KJV), “But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.”
God’s judgement to them for their disobedience
Jeremiah 34:17 (KJV), “Therefore thus saith the Lord; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the Lord, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.”
