THE THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
If you are called by God, listen to Him
“5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 10:5-7 (KJV)
Matthew 10
Do not give wise counsel to a fool
Matthew 10:13b-15 (KJV), “… but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.”
Proverbs 23:9 (KJV), “Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.”
God will prepare the way for you if He sends you out
Matthew 10:16-20 (KJB), “16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
Sharing the gospel in this world is not an easy task
Matthew 10:21-22 (KJV), “21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”
This prophecy from Jesus tells us to pursue and do not give up preaching the gospel until Jesus’ return
Matthew 10:23b (KJV), “… for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.”
If Jesus is accused of being of Satan
Matthew 9:34 (KJV), “But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.”
Mark 3:22 (KJV), “And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.”
Imagine what they will think of you
Matthew 10:25 (KJV), “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”
Jesus is the only way, believe it or not
Matthew 10:32-33 (KJV), “32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
Jesus must be the highest priority in your life
Read Matthew 10:34-39
Daniel 3
Do not worship false gods
Daniel 3:5-6 (KJV), “5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: 6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”
Matthew 6:24 (KJV), “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
The fourth, the son of God
Daniel 3:25 (KJV), “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Daniel 3:28 (KJV), “Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.”
The angels (messengers) of God are called the sons of God
Job 38:7 (KJV), “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?”

Jeremiah 25:3 (KJV), “From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the Lord hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.”

God’s judgement on all nations on earth will be destroyed

Jeremiah 25:26b (KJV), “26b and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.”
Jeremiah 25:32-33 (KJV), “32 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. 33 And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.”
Proverbs 26 Read
Ezekiel 23
The Jews coming out of Egypt, Israel at that time, are being prophesized as two sisters (Samaria and Jerusalem)
Ezekiel 23:2-4 (KJV), “2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother: 3 And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity. 4 And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.”
The Samarians are born into the hands of the Assyrians
Ezekiel 23:9 (KJV), “Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.”
Jerusalem falls to the Babylonians
Ezekiel 23:17 (KJV), “And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.”
Matthew 10:34-39 (KJV), “34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 9 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” [return]
