2 Timothy 3 Perilous Times and Perilous Men
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV), “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

2 Timothy 3:6-7 (KJV), “6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
All false teachers will be brought forth and identified as so
2 Timothy 3:8-9 (KJV), “8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs’s also was.”
Exodus 7:10-12 (KJV), “10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. 12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.”
In Jewish and Christian traditions, Jannes and Jambres are the names given to magicians mentioned in the Book of Exodus.
It is a matter of fact
2 Timothy 3:12 (KJV), “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
The false teaching will continue and keep getting worse
2 Timothy 3:13 (KJV), “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
You must get your meals from the Holy Scriptures and not ANY OTHER MEANS!
2 Timothy 3:14-15 (KJV), “14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
The entire scriptures are the inerrant Word of God
2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV), “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
2 Peter 1:21 (KJV), “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
Strong’s Concordance (2315) – theopneustos: God-breathed, i.e. inspired by God. Thayer’s Greek Lexicon –
θεόπνευστος, θεοπνευστον (Θεός and πνέω), inspired by God: γραφή, i. e. the contents of Scripture.
And why does God give us His Word?
2 Timothy 3:17 (KJV), “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

Job 41 The Power of God

God tells Job that no man could ever handle a sea monster
Job 41:2-7 (KJV), “2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn? 3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee? 4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant forever? 5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens? 6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants? 7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?”
No-one can stand up to God
